To try to justify waging war on Iran, Donald Trump claimed Tehran was supposedly on the verge of launching “imminent” attacks on the US. This was a blatant lie. The Pentagon admitted in a closed-door briefing to Congress that there was NO EVIDENCE that Iran planned to attack US forces first. Tehran only had plans to retaliate in self-defense, but not to initiate a conflict. The US government lied. It is waging a war of aggression, in flagrant violation of international law.
