minus-square@AngryHippylinkEnglish1•1 year agoIt’s been known that not only is it safer to do so, but that it’s much more common outside the United States, as evidenced by this article from 2016: https://www.vox.com/2016/8/1/11926596/safer-back-into-parking-spaces Anecdotally, when I worked at Renault in Spain, we were required to reverse into parking spaces on all of their properties. It’s easier than parallel parking, and provides extra safety, so why wouldn’t you do it?
