I just learned how to block communities I have been banned from before blocking them. You know, mod overreach and them being little pissbabies. They beat me to the punch a few times. How do you block whole instances? Thanks in advance.
Normally to block a community I did it from the sidebar. After being banned that button goes away for some godawful reason when it is most needed. You can still add the communities to your block list manually in user settings. Thanks again to the user who told me about that last week.
I’m using Mlem for iOS, and I’ll search for instances in the search tab, long-press, and block that way.
There’s a way to do it on the web version — I just can’t remember at the moment since I primarily use an app.

Thanks! It was there the whole time I just didn’t scroll all the way down. My much longer list of blocked communities left it hiding all the way at the bottom. The first row is as long as whatever entry is the longest.
