For anyone who doesn’t know why this is a big deal: AEW – a five-year-old wrestling company – is about to beat WWE/WCW/any other wrestling promotion for tickets sold to a wrestling show. As of this tweet, they’re less than 1500 tickets away from holding the title with 17 days to go until the big event.
Can’t wait for Tony’s tweet when that happens lol
I’m not an AEW fan but this is great news for wrestling all around. And shows that we here in the U.K. will and can sell out Wembley Stadium. Maybe this will put WWE on notice that they don’t have to just use the O2 or go to Cardiff.
