The Royals stadium move is down to two locations. The east village and NKC.

Can they both fail and The K win out?

I think I might be coming around to it. Just realized paying for a ride might be cheap enough to be worth it and if ticket prices would remain cheap enough it would be super.

I think it’s a total waste of money trying to add value to a sports team that doesn’t really do much by building them a new stadium. Like, KC Chiefs draws in audiences from wherever, Royals–not so much. I think this is a terrible investment. The money would be better spent on making the Royals a better team–they already have a perfectly good stadium. Plus, there’s the whole issue of how many families will be displaced by building a new stadium.

Yeah, I’ve always assumed that people who want our stadium in a boring, underdeveloped part of the city just haven’t ever experienced a downtown ball park, or maybe just way too wedded to their cars.

Yankee Stadium, Wrigley Field, Petco Park in San Diego… these places are easy to get to, a ton of fun to watch a game in, and then it’s an easy walk to a restaurant or bar to celebrate after.
