HISD seeks waiver from TEA to hire uncertified people to teach in classrooms

To help fill teacher vacancies, the district is seeking a waiver from the TEA to allow a person to teach without being certified. Here's why some veteran teachers aren't happy.

They should just… pay teachers what they’re worth, treat them with repsect, and let them do their jobs.
