“Over population” is an argument for eugenics masked with environmentalism. It is eco-fascism and seemingly every liberal believes in it.

The originator of this hypothesis (Malthus) explicitly wrote it to counter the arguments of early (utopian) socialists, it’s quite literally a counter revolutionary arguemnt, and one that both Marx and Kropotkin tore to shreds at least a century ago.

It literally isn’t a problem, which if you’d pull your finger out aof your ass and search for yourself you would easily find out, but I guess it’s easier to do mental gymnastics to protect you wilful ignorance and cognitive dissonance than it is to challenge you bias.

So rather than back up your assertion you instead resort to a bunch of high brow ad hominem attacks while telling me “just do your own research bro”, you know what, you got me you convinced me, lol.👍

Overpopulation is driving the billionaires to their fortunes as we all consume, consume, consume until we’ve had so many consumers there’s nothing left on the planet, and here you are playing ostrich wanting to pretend its not happening in order to make some kind of pseudo-intellectual point about billionaires and the capitalistic society that creates them, a sentiment that I whole heartedly agree with, sans the whole ignoring the fact that overpopulation is an occurring and constant problem.

I’ve got a secret to tell you, both things can be real problems, no need to ignore one in favor of the other.

Lastly with things getting worse with climate change the overpopulation discussion is going to become more topical, because you can’t sustain the current population with large-scale drought and other catastrophic events harming our global food supply chain, oh and the fucking wealthy and their class war through scaling up their profits by artificially inflating prices.
