The coaster reopened on Monday but there are many reports that the transitions between the new 208 track and the wooden track were terribly rough and it was rumored to have shut down a lot of Tuesday because of these issues.
I personally wish they would have just let Gravity Group come in and take care of the mess the ride was. There’s a well circulated rumor that Fun Spot decided to get their own contractor to build the ride and that was the reason for all of the problems. After seeing the magic that Gravity Group worked on many of Cedar Fair’s coasters there’s no doubt they could have taken care of this situation.
I found this really unfortunate, there have been so many wood coaster retracking success stories this year and it was surprising to hear that RMC couldn’t help this one.
