I mean Hawaii managed to survive COVID, I think they would be ok if tourists waited a couple weeks. Last I heard resorts were without power and running out of food due to the wildfires.
Also, it’s not like tourists can force there to be hotels for them to stay at.
Hawaii’s economy is heavily based on tourism. If they really want the tourists to stay away I’ve got a monkey’s paw around here somewhere that can probably fulfill that request for them.
Yeah the last thing Hawaii needs right now is less tourists. They feed the industry.
