I disagree with all of my friends about at least something, which is why I find it so especially funny when conservatives accuse leftists of not being able to “handle” people disagreeing with them. Our disagreements just aren’t about what constitutes basic human decency.
There’s a difference between disagreeing over pizza topics, vs over feeding children in school. And the problem is conservatives continue to move the goalpost and argue in bad faith.
Right now, cities are passing laws to provide food for kids and conservatives are either:
Disagreeing that our tax dollars should go to food for kids (the original argument.)
Disagreeing that kids should be fed food that isn’t nutritional (moving the goalpost after they recognize it was a shit position)
We’re having similar conversations here in the UK, it’s so frustrating
