Ukraine destroys a bunch of Russian howitzers and MLRS systems
The reason russia is relying so heavily on glide bombs (and increasingly so in last several months) is Ukraine has broken the back of russia’s artillery and become so good at hunting russian artillery that russia can no longer apply enough pressure on the front with its artillery without it being obliterated.
In April Ukraine reportedly destroyed the most artillery in a month of the entire war (1,875). May is continuing at the same rate.
The media has been doggedly trying its best to convince people drones make all the old war stuff obsolete especially artillery, they don’t, this is absolutely an indicator of russia’s war machine being stomped in the face by Ukraine. It is the military logistics equivalent of a picture of a dam with a massive hole in the side of it gushing water at high pressure.
