I’m suggesting that a feature similar to being able to hover over votes to see the down and upvotes seperately like on desktop be added into the mobile apps. Maybe something like holding on a post or comment’s score could reveal a menu with the seperate votes as is seen on desktop? No pressure to do this, just a suggestion :)

That’s an option! Another option is to have the ability to show separate upvotes and downvotes. Example:

    ⬆️ 10 | 2 ⬇️, which has a score of 10-2=8

The only reason I didn’t do that is I assumed most people want combined scores. Same example but combined:

    ⬆️ 8 ⬇️

So either we keep it as combined scores with some way to peek at separate upvotes and downvotes, or we let users choose:

    ⬆️ 10 | 2 ⬇️ vs ⬆️ 8 ⬇️

Now that I think about it, having votes shown seperately with hour needing to peek would be better, definitely a lot less confusing for new users and those that don’t realise that’s something that can be done. I prefer separate votes since it gives a better idea about the post. For example, if a post has a combined score of 1, I would assume that it hasn’t had much activity, but if I see it has 15 upvotes and 14 down votes, that’s still a combined score of 1, but it is controversial rather than having low activity.
