Why did Bezos think that going on that interview was a good idea? Because he’s disconnected and deluded as fuck. They all are, surrounded by sycophantic yes men. And then they recreated their yes men, packaged it in machines, and forced them into every facet of our lives without our consent. Is a billionaire’s delusion all that different from AI psychosis?
I, for one, am enjoying everyone tearing into him. They’re scared. Tax the rich is a moderate position.

I think it’s more than that. We live in dangerous times. AI and recent political developments will enable governments to spy on their citizenry and control the flow of information in ways which have never been seen before. And, while I have my doubts, I can’t fully rule out the possibility that they actually manage to create an AGI. In any case, the window of opportunity for people to influence their own fates is closing. And the people holding all the cards are some of the worst human beings on the planet: sociopaths, narcissists and pedophiles, living in a bubble of privilege and delusion, not understanding or caring about anything that is good in the world. These are the people who have the future in their hands. It’s a terrifying state of affairs.
Ironically Trump has brought this situation to a head in a way that maybe, just maybe, could give us a chance to turn things around. He has laid bare the corruption, the abuse of power, the cruelty, idiocy and sheer evil that is such a driving force in not only the political ruling class but also the corporate infrastructure behind it. We have been shown what’s behind the curtain and how urgently it needs fixing. This might, in a chaotic and uncertain way, be just what was needed.
