At least 20 people were reportedly arrested outside the Delaney Hall Detention Facility in Newark, New Jersey on Sunday as anti-ICE protesters clashed with riot police.
Tensions flared after the mayor imposed a curfew around the detention center, which has been the site of regular demonstration in recent weeks as portesters say detainees inside have launched a hunger strike over poor conditions.
That’s a bit early. I didn’t expect them to setup the pretext for marshal law until early September…
