I’ve noticed that lots of videos on social media and on YouTube, specifically the Shorts, have this strange filter on them that makes them look AI generated. Even videos that I’ve seen before without the filter and know are authentic because they were created before people could make realistic AI videos.

Do you think this is intentionally done by content creators and/or the companies themselves to make AI content more easily accepted?

Maybe are normal videos, and then the creator says “hey AI, enhance this with your magic” as a final touch before or after upload because they think that the AI it’s the panacea.

    • Sometimes, this happens automatically just because they recorded it with a phone. My phone’s camera applies a filter automatically, and there is no longer an option to disable the fucking thing so people all end up looking like they have way bigger eyes and smoother skin than how they appear to the naked eye.

And the filter has been designed to look like AI videos
