New album by french rock gods Slift. Just got this in today and I’m listening to it for the first time as we speak.
First impression is that it feels sonically and musically somewhat of a departure from earlier work. More voice and keyboard oriented but still unmistakably Slift! 🔥
I thought Ummon was their strongest performance so far. I didn’t even know another album was coming yet.
Obviously, Ummon is a masterpiece. Hard to top that. But Ilion has two fantastically heavy openers, and I can feel already that this one is going to grow on me. Gonna take a few listens though 😁
