    I had no idea. I have never once had a fatherday acknowledgement and I refuse to acknowledge it with my dad coz he was a cunt. Wonder if that’s what my kids think of me

      Schools at least make a thing of it these days, as they know there are so many broken homes. And I’m sure your kids don’t think of you as just a cunt, we are all nuanced individuals (cunt + something else surely!). And if my kids don’t mention it: all the better imo. There isn’t a children’s day!

      I’m very fortunate to have a great relationship with mine, and it’s a blessing I don’t take lightly. I wouldn’t worry about your kids just because of this, though. It’s a tradition thing; if there was never a habit of doing it, it doesn’t mean they’re choosing to avoid doing it with you now
