I’m officially one of the chosen elite that has been entrusted by the powers that be to operate a very expensive and very dangerous fork truck at work.
I was actually bothing by supervisors about it for a while. I work the night shift at a very high tech CNC shop and no one else is certified on this shift. We dont need it often but sometimes heavy shit has got to move and we either do it by hand cart (boring), bother someone else on the other side of the shop (they dont like that very much) or leave it for the day guys. I’m one of the newer guys so not everyone is thrilled I got the bump and they didn’t but I made it happen. Nobody asked me to do it, I went after it. Anyways, yeah. Me + fork truck = frendz4eva

We have x2 battery powered Cat EC25N’s. Up until last week, I’d never even sat a buttcheek one in anything like it but I’m getting the hang of it quickly. I unloaded a full semi trailer just a bit ago to get some practice in even tho that’s the shipping crew’s job. They know I’m looking to get some practice in and they’re doing a great job of letting me get my feet wet.
