I think overall destroying gas/fuel plants will lower the amount of fuel entering the atmosphere overall. Sure the stockpiles will go up right then and there but that was going to happen anyway, and shutting production down for a few months will be a net benefit to the atmosphere (assuming they don’t turn to a worse source of fuel, which they might.) The space industry also is still small enough that it accounts for a surprisingly small portion of emissions.
The EV issues and increasingly larger and larger vehicles I think account for a much greater portion of emissions.
