I’m thinking some .ml users are actually communist Russians but has Nazi-like ultranationalist streak. I don’t remember the name of the group but there is a fringe Russian communist party although unabashedly xenophobic. That said, that kinda explains .ml’s imperialist and genocidal apologia when it’s Russia doing it.

Although on the one hand, they may not be Russian nationals but non-Russian vatniks who are compromised in one way or another. Even in the leftist circle there are prominent individuals like Sarah Wagenknecht who is socialist but cosies up to Russia. US Green Party leader Jill Stein kept dodging the question on whether she supports Putin or not. And she also only makes a national noise during US presidential elections to siphon off votes from Democrats, which helps Russia to divide Americans and allow pro-Russian elements to win.

democrats aren’t owed anyones vote, and there is no reason to believe someone who might vote for jill stein would vote for a democrat.

True but if Jill Stein is serious, she should organise grassroots and make her party more appealing. Or, she should have tried to take over the Democrats from within, like Mamdani and Sanders are doing. Instead, she just shows up during presidential elections to siphon votes.

she explicitly called the invasion illegal.
