I feel like this should have been a slam dunk for me. I like shmups, I like short games, and I have fond memories of the original.
But it’s just not clicking for me so far.
It might end up one of those games that I play for an hour after buying it, leave it for a year, then come back and play it to death. Who knows.
For the most part I think the new English voice acting is good, but it’s Fox’s in particular who feels more phoned in, which is unfortunate when he’s the main character.
Falco’s VA on the other hand I think captured the character’s personality perfectly.
