Who’s spending$28 on lunch? I try to keep my daily work spending under$10. I make my own coffee usually and pack my lunch when i have leftovers. I came afford a regular$28 lunch.

      Who’s spending$28 on lunch?

Anyone working in a major metro area who didn’t pack it in. I can’t walk off with a sandwich for less than $15. Anything sit-down is going to be $20+ easy.

I mean, it is and it isn’t. I personally keep my lunch cost to $2 by eating leftovers, so $10 daily is excessive even to me. I could personally allow a weekly meal with my coworkers at $10. Nearly $30 daily would be extravagant.

To provide a daily lunch allowance of $70 for a bunch of wealthy elite who make a multiple sounds crazy, and the statement in comparison is audibly tone deaf. The only way I could accept that would be if those meals included their staff.

I spend way less than $30 a day for my lunch, even though I’m forced to eat out, but being lectured about my spending habits by people that are literally wasting tax money without reason is, to say the least, annoying

I know what you mean because I’m similar but I get to work from home and have time to cook. People have different jobs and responsibilities so I don’t want to say everyone needs to eat like a scrub like me/us. So I’m empathetic.

I wouldn’t buy lunch every day though if I could help it for sure though. Once or twice a week for me. Not sure if you’ve ever done it before but I did Huel (powdered meal replacement) for lunch for months.

I think the $70 could be justified back in the day by saying they need to make deals and since they’re representing their countries then they shouldn’t need to worry about this. I don’t think anyone cares about that anymore after seeing all the rampant corruption shoved in their faces on a regular basis.
