Many companies operate industry related public arms at a loss as a promotional department. Them simply operating a radio station is massive marketing, and if done right, can earn a lot of public goodwill.
Rogers is a huge company. Those scenarios would have been considered, and rejected. Simple reason is not enough demand for the product. Same reason we don’t have the McRib.
