OnePlus arrived on the scene in 2014 with brash marketing and a compelling pitch: What if your phone was cheaper and faster? More than a decade later, the market is much different, and so is OnePlus. Confirming months of rumors and speculation, OnePlus has confirmed it’s ending phone releases in North America and Europe.

Nothing didn’t take their place. The Nothing design and the Oneplus design have been different.

In the sense that they make the best budget phone possible. Obviously two companies will have different design choices

I didn’t follow Oneplus in recent years. I asked Chatgpt re their budget 📱. Per Chatgpt, they made 👍 budget 📱 like the Nord 5 and the Nord CE5.

Their origin is very similar to nothing in that they were the ultimate value phone. Unfortunately OnePlus slowly tried to transition into more luxury flagship brand but failed

Oneplus was the brand of the specs chaser. Great specs; clean Android skin; cheaper than the Samsung or Apple flagship. examples – Oneplus 7 pro and Oneplus 8 pro

Then they increased the cost. They made Oxygenos more like Coloros.

Yeah by the 7th and 8th gen, you have to understand I was there before launch, same with nothing. I was a fan that time and now.
