    How would that even work? It’s literally a PC. It runs Linux. It’s as open a system as you’re going to get.

      It’s supposed to eliminate the issues of Linux like unstable ABI/API, and fragmentation. -But like with Steamdeck, it’s probably going to have people saying they do more tinkering than actual gaming. Real PC gamers use Windows.

      Not providing a terminal and desktop environment, for instance? Locking down the BIOS? What would it matter if it ran Linux if you could never leave Steam Big Picture?

      If this was oracle/microsoft there would be a publicly available environment variable you can just set yourself, but is technically illegal.
