I accidentally befriended a couple large stray dogs some time ago, and their version of this was rushing at me, jumping up and getting in my face trying to lick it whenever I paid them any attention. I think it made onlookers a little scared for me.

I did try to train the face-licking behavior out of them, but I didn’t meet them often enough for it to work. Dunno what happened to them, hope they’re okay.
