Yes it is, it’s very specifically and carefully crafted to suck you in and tell you all the things that you need to think about and worry about today, that you would never would have considered prior.
One needs to make a very conscious attempt to walk away and I’m sure that you will find, like myself, that once you do, your online “news” life does not change except for the better.
I thought I’d keep going back to r$ddit regularly, but I don’t. Every time I think of logging in there, I remember all the BS they made me put up with and I’m like forget it.
If a web search directs me there I’ll check it out, but I never stick around.
