Sorry, I didn’t know that there was a blog post behind it. Is there a link behind your post?

If the selection only affects visibility i am not sure why we need this at all. The selection is only necessary if they dump all the objectives in one category. If they just sort them into different tabs: PvE, PvP, WvW you get all the dailies and a neat way to find the objectives you are looking for. You don’t play PvP? Great you know that you don’t have to look at the PvP tab.

My guess is It’s not hiding objectives. If you select PvE only, you will get same total amount of objectives, but only for PvE. So: PvE only would be for example 3 PvE objectives a day. With all of the options selected you would get 1 PvE, 1 WvW, 1 PvP. Otherwise it wouldn’t be a freedom of choice what to play that they are going for. After changing this, you will probably have to wait for the next day to update dailies with your preferences, and week to update weeklies. There was no blog post about this part but some reviewer articles talked about it

Okay that’s exactly what I was talking about in my first response. I’d much prefer if we got the full pack of objectives for each game mode.

Why do I want this? If I select one category, I only get objectives for that one mode (e.g. PvE). If I start the game and only suddenly want to play WvW I can’t complete my dailies, because they are only in PvE.

If I select multiple categories, I have to play all those categories, which may be much more effort to complete than selecting a single category. E.g. the simplest way to complete dailies right now is winning one pvp match.

On the other hand if they give us just the full pack of objectives (including a good display), I can mix everything as I wish and change my mind at any time.
