I watch them with the original language enabling subtitles instead, as for example: watching Korean movies dubbed into English (also with bad lip sync) is just weird in my opinion but I know a few people who do this for various reasons: hate how the original language is spoken, or dislikes the audio (due to accent) so they dub them in English, however the cultural nuance is gone since the original audio language conveys what is intended to be expressed.
I dislike dubbing and always have, subtitles all the way. I’m kinda put off by the [eight seconds of mouth moving] mismatch. It’s also rarely done where I live, except for children’s media. To top it off, it has to be insanely much more work and a lot more expensive. I realize there are relative niche cases where it could be necessary, though.
