…And it’s still completely unusable out of the box unless you:

• Connect to the internet
• Go to the random website RPM Fusion that you just need to know exists
• Copy and paste a bunch of terminal commands only nerds understand what the fuck is even happening
• Hope they actually worked since there’s no confirmation of course
• Sit back and wait ~5 minutes (take any guess since nobody knows how long it takes) before restarting your computer so your driver hopefully installs properly in the background (with no starting notification, progress bar, or completion notification that it has LOL)
• Restart your computer
• Look up more random commands that you don’t understand and have no intention of learning (why the fuck should you have to just to achieve such simple basics of computing) to check your driver actually installed, since there’s no simple gui listing all generic details of your pc hardware ofc
• Get 10 results, try some which are useless, some which say your driver isn’t installed properly, and others which say your driver is fully installed
• Get annoyed and check the codecs installed
• Apparently they did
• Visit YouTube.com
• Videos aren’t playing properly regardless

And what if you:

• Want to download a piece of software
• Go to the built-in software center thing and see 2 results for it
• You don’t know why there’s 2 different ones by different people and don’t really want to know why, but it sure feels untrustworthy and sketchy as fuck like this
• 3 different package types in total
• You manually check them all and realize they are all different, but all laughably out of date
• Have to go to the website to get the real version (just like Windows, gee what a waste of time the software center was should have just done this first eh)
• Can only be installed by commands
• You follow the commands perfectly

Either:

• Breaks midway through ‘erm sorry sir we can’t do this because it’s conflicting with these packages… but you can try this :)’
• Try it and there’s a new reason for why it simply cannot be done
• Try the step it offers and again another new reason of nope sorry mate
• Terminal ain’t doing shit for you, even though we can see precisely what you are trying to do since we recognize the software name we know the dependencies it needs and we know the problem behind the scenes to which you are having and wish to avoid yet don’t know how since you’re not a giga Linux nerd… but we can’t just do all these steps for you like an .exe can with simple user choices within the installation sorry :) )
• Now you have all these changes applied and packages installed you want to revert/remove but you dunno how to do it and your commands would probably break what’s already installed / erase your system packages instead
• There is simply no way to install the latest version of this software you need
• You say fuck this and go back to a real OS

Or:

• Every command executes perfectly
• The software even works, wowee Loonix on top guise amirite !
• You shut down and boot up the computer the following day
• Your install is bricked as you replaced system packages during install with absolutely no warning in the terminal beforehand and no mention of this having happened afterwards
• You say fuck this and go back to a real OS

This is even whilst knowing generic computer shit like what the terminal is what drivers are what codecs are and where to get them etc (new users will simply be like ‘why the fuck is this shit stuttering and lagging and flickering and why the fuck don’t my videos play’ with zero idea on what to even do, probably thinking the OS didn’t install properly lmao)

Now imagine going around actually seriously trying to pretend Loonix is ready for a regular computer user on Windows and Mac who doesn’t even know what those things are (and doesn’t give a shit to ever know), when all these broken steps are literally REQUIRED for the OS to even function remotely at a baseline level like Windows and Mac do directly out of the box LOOOL (you even HAVE to have an internet connection! Just to watch videos from your flashdrive on a computer after installing the OS! Windows & Mac could already do this on Fedora’s launch day 22 years 8 months back!)

Loonix in 2026 is STILL: Spend more time fucking around with the system than actually using your computer for what you bought it for, to use software on it to get real shit done (not that you would even find comparable software on Loonix to Windows or Mac… buuut shh let’s not go there XD Loonies do nothing but use Firefox to try and bash on Windows users anyway lets be serious nobody is creating content outside of covering Linux itself on that dogshit)
