    I graduated with an IT degree during a major IT downturn and felt the exact same way. Worked restaurant gigs applied for hundreds of jobs and started thinking about moving abroad to find work.

    I ended up getting a low level shit paying job as tech support at a tiny company and worked my way up.

    You didn’t mention your degree but I advise just starting somewhere with some opportunity to move up.

    Network, network network! After my first job I have always gotten jobs by knowing someone who can get me in. Especially now with the bullshit hiring processes you need to know someone on the inside more than ever.
