Individual communities don’t get that much traffic. Using All and filtering instances/communities you don’t like is a good way to keep a scroll going.
Doesn’t seem an effective approach if I end up filtering out all the fluff that I don’t care about.
Literally how I ended up here, it’s great for finding new communities whenever they pop up, like this one, for example. Also interesting to keep some tabs on Lemmy as a whole, given that’s totally possible here.
