In Evil Dead (2013), Eric finds a book bound in human skin, wrapped in barbed wire, with “Leave This Book Alone” scribbled on it. ​He then cuts the barbed wire, reveals the hidden text and read it aloud. This is a subtle nod to Eric being the most aggressively stupid human to ever walk the earth

    I’d think it has blood or poop on or in it, which is plenty enough reason to not touch it.
