I’m a beginner (to machine sewing) - and it’s astonishing how many mistakes can someone make doing a simple project like this.
It is far from perfect, but as my Mom would say: nobody going to tell you to stop and giving you a better one for free.


On making mistakes, one of my big lessons what that those happen a lot more often if you are tired, and tend to increase dramatically once they start happening. So I learned was to watch out for being tired and especially stop as soon as sensible after making a mistake that “shouldn’t” have happened (I tend to get the seam ripping done and anything similarly tedious, so my next start is on something I want to do). Trying to work through tiredness or setting “I must finish this today” goals is just doomed.
