You’re forgetting the early access for buying the dlc/collectors edition gubbins.
Edit: just read that it’s 8 hours before the early access release. But that’s normal for Bethesda. They did a similarly short embargo with Fallout 4, Deathloop, Dishonored, and the Wolfenstein games. For Prey they didn’t even send out press copies ahead of release (which was stupid).
A much better indication is that press copies went out on the 17th, meaning they’re confident in giving reviewers about two weeks with the game. Which isn’t normal in the modern industry. That’s basically Nintendo levels of confidence.
Given this is nearly a full week before launch - pretty good sign.
Makes me think they feel it is polished. Which would be absolutely fantastic!
