I didn’t like Skyler because she was a normie and I wanted the show to be balls of the walls crazy. Walter = fun times, Skyler = dull times. I did soon realize, without her, there wouldn’t be an anchor to tie it all down and no contrast to Walter wouldn’t make for such an amazing show. Skyler is a good character, absolutely necessary for it to work.
Then again, people think Walter White is of virtuous character so it may be media literacy.
And she was actually a decent human being. Of course she had her faults, but nothing about her behavior was narcissistic or even all that selfish. Even cheating on Walt came about because he pretty much drove her to do it. It’s an explanation — not an excuse.
