    Deep geological disposal in underground mines or stable rock formations 200 to 1,000 meters deep is the globally accepted standard for isolating high-level nuclear waste.

    I did say that I was oversimplifying it radically. We don’t literally just put it back in the ground it needs to be in a smart place.

      Makes sense, my country has been struggling with this problem for a while because it’s tectonically simply not stable enough. And good luck convincing geologically suited countries to take everyone’s waste.
