Alas there a re thousands upon thousands of them. Unable to wake up from the cliches that rule them. My home town before I was born turned down a Paper Mill, a College and several other industries. The reason was simple these would have brought in people that might upset the local politics. After I was born they turned down a wamart and the few businesses that tried to make a start there failed. All to keep the status quo. The place has crumbled like many others. I drove through last year and it was really sad.
HA! My rural small home towns downtown area is full of empty lots where the storefronts just fell in. This is really some fine trolling.
