I was trying to install eos on my fairphone, but I can’t get past this screen. Anyone know what I have to do differently?

You need to place the phone in fastboot mode, this is done powering on the phone while depressing the Volume Down button. This one of the parts that isn’t very explicit, I think due to being generic to several models of phones.
