Hey Homebox Community.

I’m having some trouble getting Backups out of my Homebox install - it seems that I’m running into bug #1592 (github.com/sysadminsmedia/home…).

The bug seems to be fixed by merge #1596 (github.com/sysadminsmedia/home…) which says its merged into main, however the homebox:latest image does not seem to have been updated past 0.26.2.

It does seem that I can get the backups created and pull them out of the container manually for the moment… do I just need to wait until another version upgrade? Is there some other tagged version I should be using besides :latest? Do I need to avoid using the prebuilt image and build an image myself from source?

Thanks in advance!

You should be able to use :main to get the latest build on the main branch, :latest gives you the latest release :)

@tonya_ Thanks for the quick response!

It seems that I’m having a different issue when I use :main (image attachments no longer load, and backup fails with errors stating WRN ../go/src/app/internal/core/services/service_exports.go:534 > export: attachment blob missing, skipping ).

Can I trust the backup zip files that are created in /data/<uid>/exports/ when using the :latest image until there is an update?

Hmm, thats a weird one, I’ll share with the other maintainers, I don’t see any issues with trusting the backups in /exports/ but I would strongly recommend testing them (as I would recommend testing all backups).
