    Refined processed sugar is bad.

You do need sugar to live though. Your brain runs on sugar as does the rest of your body.

You can live 100% without sugar if you so like, the liver can synthesize all the brain’s glucose needs, and cells need ATP, not sugar molecules.

That said, it won’t kill you to eat an apple 😊

You can live without a lot of things. The modern diet is proof that humans can survive as basically garbage disposals lol. Doesn’t mean it’s the best thing for you.

Sure without sugar you can go into ketosis, but that’s not what your body wants to do. And we do tend to eat too much sugar in general. It’s added to everything for no good reason.

Whole fruits should be a larger part of the diet, and processed carbs like breads and refined sugar should ideally be minimal. And people in general need to cut the sweet tooth and get used to foods tasting like food and not packed full of sugar.

You mean ketones instead of glucose? No, that is very bad for your cells and brain. Dietary refined sugar has no relation to the general concept of carbohydrates.

No they are not. Too much of them in the other hand…

Your brain needs and wants a steady supply of glucose. Ketones are a worse substitute in every way.
