I found a large, cartoon, vinyl cut-out of the solar system, with phosphorescent stars on it. It came in layers and had to be assembled against a black cardboard base. Took forever to put together. Drilled holes and mounted it all on the wall next to the crib. Kid was old enough to stand, but not to walk.

That night at bedtime, I ‘lit’ the stars with a strong flashlight. We turned off the lights. It was so cool! We loved it. The kid loved it.

Woke up the next day and EVERY single star and planet within reach had been pulled off and shredded to the ground. Lesson learned, you little shit.
