Pickled all my garden beans, was gonna save some by freezing for a family dinner, but the recipe I used called for 1.5lbs, and well I had exactly 700grams, so I used them all.

I mostly followed this recipe, with some modifications, that I got from another post earlier this week.

I doubled the sugar, and put 4 cloves in each jar instead of 2 for all. I don’t like vinegar that much, so hopefully these are more dilly and garlic.

I’ll see how they turned out in a week!

Our city is INCREDIBLY dry, but yeah that’s all stuff I need to educate myself on if I design one. We are technically a desertish climate.

Pallisars triangle I can see you thinking about the concern, coastal Vancouver, yeah I would think it would an issue if I lived there for example. They have different building cladding methods because of the constant rain and moisture.

It’s really deceptive, we just don’t get a lot of rain, but we’re based right off the river. In the picture below is Fish Creek Provincial Park, goes through the middle of the city. There’s one of the two rivers the city was built on, and you can see the houses of the city in the backside.

it’s a beautiful place with lots of native plants, but it doesn’t rain consistently. Had a massive 100mm dump the beginning of July, than didn’t rain and 37c for a month.

        from that storm.

Oh, and a bonus picture from a bike ride, it looks like the forest moon Endor in places too
