There are already many games that run faster on Linux… Even with proton. It’s likely why Meta uses Linux on the Quest 3.

There’s a reason servers generally use Linux. Many of the optimisations don’t really affect normal people either, like Busy polling in the network stack (which madthumbs used as an example, and didn’t understand its only used by low latency datacentres, as it literally trades power usage, and uses 100% CPU for faster responses).
Care to expand on that?
What I read here is that Linux is slow due to poor design and they are fixing some issues
