If the rumours are to be believed Arteta and Berta are pushing for the Alvarez deal. I don’t link this. He doesn’t want to come to Arsenal. Then invest your money elsewhere. We don’t need another Lassana Diarra.
Also G. Neville saying we should. Then you definitely want to stay away from that deal.
in fairness… he is a great player.
but I don’t think it’s worth it, would rather keep our powder dry and keep Gyokeres, who’s done pretty good and is clearly dedicated to the club. Better that than needing to revisit the striker issue AGAIN after like a year or two when he wants to try for Barca again, especially since it looks like they’re not getting a decent striker this summer. We finally have a good striker, let’s just stick with him.
I still think the only signing we actually need to get is someone who can upgrade on Martinelli atp, as harsh as that is. Tzolis is looking quite good but Martinelli just doesn’t suit us anymore and we need two good players in that spot.
