The healthcare system in the US is notoriously awful, moving from one state to another while using Medicaid completely disrupts continuity of care, I can’t get a regular nurse practitioner (doctors are no longer available to anyone, it seems) to prescribe a controlled substance, psychiatry clinics are booked out for months, and everyone I speak to treats me like I’m the asshole for thinking I should get to keep taking the medicine I’ve been prescribed that has bad withdrawal effects when you just stop.

I discovered an online service: Animo Sano. They practice in a few states, including mine. I got an appointment right away and they said they would call in the prescription as soon as I sent them my blood pressure info. I was able to late on Friday, so hopefully I will find out today that I have a prescription called in, because tomorrow is the last pill I have, and I had to do some creative stretching to make it this far.
