Donald Trump has intensified the trade conflict with Canada by imposing 50% tariffs on key imports, following failed negotiations. The move could severely impact industries on both sides.
What I’m referring to is a court system that finds a crime and only responds with a judgement, “The Supreme Court has determined that this crime is illegal.” That’s it. No arrests. No jail time. No fine. Not even, “Don’t do it again.”

Trumps new tariffs, when his previous tariffs were already shown to be illegal is proof that they didn’t stop anything.
Meaning, there would need to be specific legislation written to describe both the crime and the punishment. This would require an act of Congress to correct, so if you want to see this happen, you’d better elect the right people to represent you in Washington…or at the very least, write or call the ones you currently have, and push them to make this a priority.
Most of what Trump is doing are not criminal violations and so have no direct punishment attached to them. They are simply “not legally allowed” under the conditions outlined by the Constitution.
It doesn’t matter because the damage is done and he doesn’t pay for the court costs.
