Maybe “casual” isn’t the right word, but I would expect anyone paying $650k in 1991 (what is that, like $2million in today’s dollars) to do their due diligence, which doesn’t sound like it was done at all. And you aren’t doing this yourself, you’re paying someone to do it for you (esp with this kind of money on the line).
