Scott gave an update on the long-awaited 'Covenant' sequel, shared his thoughts on 'Blade Runner 2099,' and talked how he believes he can compete with AI.
Yeah, there are definitely some great ideas. Just some stuff like the scientist couple taking opposing sides with WY etc put me off. Maybe a fan edit could sort out my issues with it.
Also not a fan of superheroes. The androids have been basically turned into those (why does she have a sword on her back). I get that there’s a whole audience of Marvel fans out there etc, but just doesn’t appeal to me.
I wouldn’t really call the Ghost in the Shell children androids, since they allegedly have the minds of human kids in them instead of being programmed bots. But that was also a question posed by the story - are they really the kids, or are they something else like a copy or an abomination?
Superheroes are just a thing that goes back through the legends and tall tales of humanity, like the stories of Hercules and the Greek pantheon etc. Marvel and DC corporations don’t own that idea.
