The makers of Spam, saying that their “special relationship with the Hawaiian community spans decades,” have donated over 264,000 cans to aid the disaster-relief efforts on Maui, the company said in a press release.

How does one mess up Spam? Unless you eat it straight out of the can?

No, a little spoon. Like the kind for ice cream samples.

Try ovening some leftovers and you’ll feel like iron chef.

I do like the steam in bag option, but otherwise find rice cooker to be my normal steamer.

I usually eat with carbs - like bread or some sort of rice. LOL They have the “less sodium” version now.

Oh… oh god that sounds awful.

Next time pop it out of the can. Slice into 1cm or so slices. Eat on a slightly toasted bun with cheese, a nice strong mustard, and onion.

Or cut it into 1.5cm cubes. Toss in hot oil with some seasoning and stir fry rice into it.

The secret to spam is to brown it up. It’s still salty, but that’s part of the point. Spam musubi is a common thing, too.

I’ve met someone who swore it was terrible. They didn’t realize that people fried it up first. They’d been trying to eat sliced spam sandwiches straight from the can.
